News - straight from the horse's mouth!

South West CIPD come to Hush Farms
It was a pleasure to host an Equine Coaching session for the South West CIPD (Chartered Institute of Professional Development) on July 8th. It was a lovely sunny day so we enjoyed providing a barbecue too, in the glorious setting of our barn near the coast.

It is always fascinating to see people interacting with our equine training crew. Trickey Mickey and 'ansome Sansome encouraged the group of 35 people from the CIPD to see how we can all learn from horses and take back fresh thoughts to our working environments.

The CIPD is an acclaimed, national, professional organisation. Delegates wrote about their experience with Hush in the CIPD summer newsletter. You can read more about their time at Hush, in the East Devon section towards the end.
Penny joins The Mare & Foal Sanctuary
Penny Bond has joined as a Trustee. The Sanctuary is based in Devon, and is a non-profit making organisation, responsible for caring and re-homing horses that have had misfortune, often at the hands of people.
Penny says, "It was such a thrill to be asked to join the Trustees and a lovely responsibility to be part of a dedicated  team that cares so much for so many horses.

I highly recommend a trip to meet the team (humans and horses) at Coombe Park - and it's free of charge, too! As a Trustee, I may be biased but it's guaranteed that once you're there, you'll want to stay and maybe even enjoy afternoon tea, or lunch in the cafe! There's a room dedicated to an equine museum and a second hand tack shop. Visitors rave about how friendly a place it is - try it out!"

The Mare and Foal Sanctuary host events throughout the year to help raise awareness and raise funds. Their annual Open Day on August 3rd honoured the War Horses and transported the audience back in time. Upcoming events include the annual Horse and Dog Show on September 14th.
